Importance of Spay/Neuter in our community
Operation Spay Bay recognizes that there is a feral cat overpopulation in Bay and surrounding counties. So one of our goals is to humanely decrease the number of unwanted cats and kittens in our community. In order to do so we have made it as easy as possible for local individuals and groups to get low cost and convenient spay/neuter surgeries.
Spay and Neuter is not only important for community cats and ferals, but also for pets at home to ensure that ‘surprise litters’ do not result in unexpected stress for pet lovers and their families. These situations often result in litters of puppies and kittens ending up in the shelters or foster based rescues of NWFL, where there is already a tremendous need for more adopters.
