In early 2024 Operation Spay Bay was honored with a by invitation only opportunity to apply for the PetSmart Charities Access to Care Grant. The purpose of the grant is to bring affordable full spectrum veterinary care to the community. After a lengthy application process we are honored to announce that Operation Spay Bay has been awarded the first phase of the 3 phase grant!

Over the next 3 years we will be involved in an intense program with PetSmart Charities to help us grow our practice. The monthly sessions we are required to attend cover subjects that range from staffing to financial guidance to targeting the needs of our community and all subjects in between. We are tasked monthly to complete projects that lead us to understand our strengths and weaknesses in this growth process.

The grant monies awarded are substantial and will allow us to bring in more staffing, purchase new equipment, provide staff training and enrichment, grow our clinical side of the practice and serve our community’s pets needs at a reasonable and affordable cost. Operation Spay Bay is proud of the opportunity this prestigious grant award brings and excited for what it will mean for the health and welfare of the pets we care for in our community for years to come.
